• Hinter Symposium on Nutrition & Feed Technology of Fish & Shellfish was organized by Guangzhou Hinter Biotechnology Co., Ltd and Guangdong Haid Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Research Center, which focus on the nutrition and feed technology of aquatic animals and was held every year. The special report highlights the outstanding technology, closes to practice, focus on the application, which is a good opportunity promote communication for the feed production enterprise.

Hinter symposium has been inherited the theme 'encouraging communication and promoting progress of the feed industry' and persisted on technology communication, which is not only a window of Hinter but also a sincere action of customer feedback. It has become an important platform for communication of aquaculture feed industry peers and highly praised by the peers, whose size and influence is expanding every year.

Special reports: Carbohydrates utilization in fish

Dr. Shouqi Xie    【Professor and Doctoral Tutor of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences】

Carbohydrates are the cheapest energy raw materials. However, the capacity of carbohydrate digestion and metabolism is generally poor in fishes. A large number of studies have showed that high dietary of carbohydrate result in persistent hyperglycemia, elevation of hepatic size and glycogen content and reduced growth rate and feed utilization. In this report, Dr. Xie will show you the factors of influencing carbohydrate utilization of fishes and the possible mechanistic of carbohydrate utilization in fish.

The prospects and problems of shrimp farming in China

Dr. Chaoqun Hu    【Professor of South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences】

With the highest value, shrimp is the largest species in seafood production. Litopenaeus vannamei is currently dominant (the only species with scale advantage) in farmed products. Take Litopenaeus vannamei as an example, Dr. Hu will show you the newest culture model and analyze the current problems in development process, which hope to propose the development prospects and directions of shrimp farming industry.

Vegetable oil utilization in feeds for marine fish

Dr. Xueqiao Qian    【Director of Guangdong Haid Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Research Center】

Oil occupies a high cost when used in aquaculture feeds. There are fish oil, soybean oil, rapeseed oil, palm oil, lecithin oil, lard, etc. Since many vegetable oils are containing unsaturated fatty acids and easily oxidized, which is necessary to add antioxidants and keep in proper. In this report, Dr. Qian will elaborate the vegetable oil utilization in feeds for marine fish.

Development and management features of aquaculture feed ente

The lecturer will make a detail analysis of the status and characteristics of the feed industry and point out the difficulties faced by feed companies, the misunderstanding operations and the Haid’s exploration.

Study on the artificial feed formulation of Micropterus salm

Dr. Xiaodong Wang    【Deputy Director Guangdong Haid Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Research Center】

Feeding with suitable starch has positive effect on growth of Micropterus salmoides , improve protein efficiency and succeed in protein saving. However, feeding with high level of starch will cause enlargement of liver and pancreas and fatty liver. In this report, Dr. Wang will share us the current study on the artificial feed formulation of Micropterus salmoides.

The influence on growth of grass carp by using wheat middlin

Dr. Xiaodong Wang    【Deputy Director Guangdong Haid Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Research Center】

The consumption of wheat middling and rapeseed meal was relatively large and the price of them is too similar. Does it have any effect on grass carp by using wheat middling instead of rapeseed meal with the same formulation cost? What’s the mechanism? Dr. Wang will show his opinion in this report.
